I arrived yesterday and stayed awake until 9:00 p.m. After two straight nights of sleeping on planes, I was eager to sleep completely horizontal. I slept so well, and rare for me, I slept for about 14 hours! I woke up, did a little homework with Mark, and had lunch with Tracy and Mark.
Next we picked up Mark's friend, Matt, who lives near the "Broccoli Tree" pictured below. Matt told me that it becomes a cauliflower tree in the spring, when it blooms.
We went into town and had lunch at a pannekoek house. I had a bobotie pancake--a savory treat within a pancake like Mom used to make! Yum, Yum.
I took a picture of Mark under the "Best Mark" sign that was above a Stellenbosch business.
Mark, Matt, and I did some magic tricks, and then Catherine came home. Catherine and I were in her room, and then Catherine wanted to show me some of her preetty clothes. She pulled out the blue skirt and sweater and immediately proceeded to change her clothes. I learned that it was Catherine's first time of "dressing up" and she chose Grandma Heun's skirt!
Now we're winding down and soon will be heading to bed.

Tosca and Gigolo met yesterday evening for the first time in a while. See the picture that we posted yesterday.
A quick note to everyone: we're leaving tomorrow for a week away in Knysna, Oudtshoorn, and Addo Elephant Park. It is unlikely that we'll be able to make blog postings while we're away. Please don't panic. We'll be back soon.
