Power Steering Pump Belt
This is the damaged power steering pump belt that caused us the problems yesterday on our way home from Addo.
The fraying in the foreground was almost certainly the result of rubbing against the other belts and pulleys after it fell off. Danie thinks that it may have failed after a small stone or rock leapt up to hit the belt. The nick in the belt visible on the left lends a bit of credibility to this theory. And, we drove on several kilometers of dirt roads at Addo. I suppose we'll never know the cause.
