Jellyfish
The ocean contained hundreds of jellyfish like the one which Louis is holding in this photo. There were other, larger ones as well, but this one was most common.
Mark was mortally scared of these things for the first day and a half. But, by 14h00 today, he made his peace with these guys, preferring the water and boogie boarding to being scaredy on the beach.
