Catherine at Paternoster
This photo was taken on 2009-08-15 during our weekend vacation to Paternoster. I like the aesthetics of this image because:
* Light: The setting sun lit everything nicely on the beach. It was a good example of the "golden hour."
* Color: The complimentary colors red and blue work nicely here. We brought a bucket and shovel for Catherine to play with, and she happened to stop in front of this blue and red boat.
* Pose: I stooped to take the photo and she lifted her red shovel at just the right instant.
* Expression: Catherine is content and comfortable at play.
