ZA2009

This photo was originally taken on 2009-10-04. Things I like about it are:

* Texture: I feel like I could almost reach out and feel the roughness of the distant mountains.

* Composition: The road and river lead the eye upward toward the folded mountains. The slopes on the left and right focus the eye toward the centre of the image, too. The dual peaks in the distance provide balance for the centre-focused subject.

* Color: Blue and green don't normally go very well together. But, in this image, the mountain's orange hue complements the blue sky and separates the blue from the green.

* Sky: I like the deep blue sky and snow-white clouds.
