It was another warm day today. Not unbearable, just warm. The unbearable part comes tomorrow. Note that 37 °C is 98 °F. It will be a scorcher.
This evening, Mark and Catherine made a fort out of blankets and pillows. They stayed indoors because it was cooler than outside. (We kept the doors and windows closed all day.) And because there was a lot of smoke in the air again from fires over the mountain in the direction of the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve. Longtime Stellenbosch residents have said that the fires this year are the worst in memory.
