Inside the hall, players checked their table assignments and found their seats before each of the seven matches. Table 1 is always the best, and there were 53 tables in the hall. Mark played his first match at Table 49, and his final match was played at Table 7. In the photo below, Mark is at Table 9 awaiting his opponent for the second-to-last match of the day.
