It is Halloween today, but it doesn't feel like it. South Africans don't celebrate the holiday with any sort of vigor. On the other hand, they celebrate birthdays with enthusiasm! Both Catherine and Mark did birthday parties today.
Catherine was one of 30 kids invited to Zoe's party. How do you get 30 kids for a party? You invite everyone from the creche. Tracy went to the party and took a few photos (below).
Mark has gone to an overnight party at Matt's house. The invitation claimed that swimming, a braai, and a campout in a large tent on the lawn would be part of the fun. We expect to receive a very tired boy tomorrow at 9 AM.
John and Judy left for Johannesburg and the last leg of their long journey. Judy wrote to say that it took two airplanes to bring them to Joburg. We don't have many of the details, but it must have been interesting! We had a very nice visit with them and are glad they chose to stay with. Go well!
