Catherine went to daycare today, but she was disappointed that they didn't do baking.
Mark went to school. In the late afternoon, he had the first of four parties this weekend. He went to Jesse's birthday party.
Tracy worked on her article, and decided that she wants to publish in the journal entitled African Affairs.
The University of Stellenbosch Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies (CRSES) held its end-of-year Indaba at the Backsberg estate. I attended with my camera. See several photos below.
Finally, the world cup draw was held today in Cape Town. I tried to get tickets, but it was an invitation-only affair. I guess I wasn't important enough to be invited. USA drew a favorable group (USA, England, Algeria, and Slovenia). They'll be expected to advance with England. But South Africa drew Mexico, Uruguay, and France. Not quite a group of death, but it will be a significant challenge for South Africa to advance. For once, Brazil doesn't have a powder-puff draw. They're in with Korea, Ivory Coast, and Portugal in what is likely to be seen as the "group of death" this time around.
