Buitekring Jacaranda
This is one of the last flowering Jacaranda trees in Stellenbosch. Despite the strong southeaster, most of its blossoms remain.
Jacarandas are native to Brazil, but there are many in South Africa. Pretoria is the "Jacaranda City," but Stellenbosch has its fair share of Jacarandas, too. A springtime Jacaranda in full flower is stunningly beautiful, but in a different way to an autumn Maple in the upper Midwest.
