Mark was invited by his friend Philip for a visit this afternoon. Philip lives with his family on Mariendahl Farm, an experimental farm for Stellenbsoch University. Both of Philip's parents, are agricultural researchers with the University: Louw is an expert in meat science and Lynne is an expert in indigenous plants (Fynbos and Proteas, in particular).
We had intended to drop Mark then head to Giraffe House. Instead Catherine, Tracy, and I were invited to stay for tea and take a walk on the farm while the boys played. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we had a very pleasant time. See some photos below.
