Boys
Mark was one of the "boys who watch the girls go by" at Cinderella's ball. This photo shows their entrance onto the stage. They had to walk like they were really "cool."
I took all these photos from my seat. I didn't want to disrupt the view for anyone else by standing up, so you see the back of many heads in this series of photos. I used my 85 mm f/1.8 lens and ramped the sensitivity up to ISO 1600. I didn't need to use the flash (and thereby avoided disturbing the production), and I got some pretty good results. Despite the low light, I was able to use a fast-enough shutter speed to freeze the action and minimize camera shake.
