Potjie
After we came back down the mountain, we had a potjiekos lunch. This photo shows the pots all containing different potjie options (chicken, beef, pumpkin, cauliflower, etc.). It was all cooked over an open fire. We also had home-baked breads (including olie bollen without raisins) and an excellent chocolate pudding (dessert) with ice cream.
The Protea Farm folks do the tractor trips at 10 AM and 2 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those interested in the potjie can eat either before or after their ride.
