For family fun day, we took a short stroll on the Stellenbosch Vineyard Hiking Trail. The trail is a relatively unknown hiking route through several vineyards in Devon Valley, just outside of Stellenbosch. There are three trails (red, orange, and blue) of varying lengths. We walked a short loop of the shortest trail (red).
The red trail begins at the Devon Valley Hotel, goes through some vines, climbs a short distance, follows a dirt road, and descends back to the hotel. It was just strenuous enough for Catherine, had enough interesting things for Mark to explore, and was elevated enough for Tracy and me to enjoy the views.
The timing was particularly interesting, as Stellenbosch was in the news on Monday.

USA plays against Brazil in the finals of the FIFA Confederations Cup. Mark and I will watch in 15 minutes.
