The Effect of a Southeaster
This is another view of the tablecloth from the location of our parked kombi on Tafelberg Road. The lower cableway station is visible, but the upper station is completely shrouded in clouds. I really like the visual effect of the dual cloud layers in this photo.
I've lived nearly two years in the Cape Town area, and this might be the most prominent tablecloth that I've ever seen. The clouds reached almost half way down the mountain. It is quite beautiful. But, if you're trying to climb the mountain, it scuttles your plans.
Nonetheless, we made the most of the day. Mark and I had a great hike, and it was fun walking with Pieka and Annali.
