After church, we went to Strand Beach to escape the heat. But, we couldn't. It was crazy hot at the beach, too. Before we left, it was 33.8 °C (93 °F) at our house. The forecast called for 36 °C (97 °F). I'm pretty sure it got at least that hot later in the afternoon.
The brush fires have flared up in Jonkershoek in the last couple days, depositing soot in our pool again. So, we really couldn't swim in our pool today. When we got home, we took showers just to cool down.
