Independent Democrats
Patricia de Lille is the presidential candidate for the Independent Democrats (ID) party. This is an early ID poster. Their recent posters have the same picture and the slogan "Put Criminals in Jail, Not in Government." This is a clear reference to the ANC's list of candidates, several of whom have criminal records or have been charged and later pardoned of crimes. The slogan is also a reminder that de Lille played a role in investigating the Arms Deal corruption scandal in post-Apartheid South African politics.
