Paternoster
Whitewashed buildings make up the village of Paternoster, as you can see from this view of the city from the balcony at Farr Out. Although it now a holiday-home town, it still feels like a fishing community. Three guys tried to sell us fresh lobsters (still squirming in plastic garbage bags) while we were driving through.
The village is situated on Paternoster Bay on South Africa's Atlantic coast. When we woke up the next morning, we thought we were sleeping next to a large airport: the HUGE rolling waves and very rough sea in the bay sounded like jetliners taking off!
